Understanding the Menstrual Cycle: Supporting Your Child with Confidence
For parents and carers of children aged 7+
Learning to track the menstrual cycle is a valuable way to build body literacy, self-awareness, and confidence. Understanding how the cycle works can help you feel more prepared to support your child before, during, and after their first periods.
In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll:
Learn about the four phases of the menstrual cycle and how hormones influence the body and emotions.
Discover what experiences are helpful to track and why cycle awareness matters.
Explore simple, app-free ways to introduce cycle tracking tools that support your child’s privacy, curiosity, and independence.
Whether you currently have a menstrual cycle or not, this workshop will give you the knowledge and practical tools to confidently support your child as they prepare for and navigate their first periods.
