  • Welcomes and introductions.

    Mapping out the menstrual education you want to deliver to your young person.

    Themes include language, global and cultural experiences of menarche and reflecting on your own experiences.

  • A closer look at menarche within the biopsychosocial context.

    Themes include why menarche matters, where menstrual education is taught and sought, shame and stigma.

  • What do our young people need and want to know. Filling in knowledge gaps.

    Themes include research findings, importance of parental input, anatomy and physiology, learning developmental stages and demystifying the notion that menarche is unexpected.

  • Learning and understanding cycles.

    Themes includes hormones, tracking, menstrual cycle and menarche as a place of belonging. Considering what is a typical menstrual experience and what is not.

  • Themes include the spiritual aspects of menarche and the menstrual cycle. Learning how your own reflections and experiences can bring knowledge and support to this topic.

  • Navigating the menstrual product market, rituals, practices and choices. Ways in which you can support your child to meet this moment.

    Integrating and next steps.

  • All attendees have the option to join our digital Raise the Cycle community at the end of their six week programme.
